George Mason University launches the University Global Compact in partnership with the UN and other top global universities
With the support of the Rockefeller Foundation and the partnership of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), George Mason University as a founding member launched the University Global Compact (UGC) in September.

McGill joins University Global Compact
McGill University has joined the University Global Compact (UGC) group as a founding member. McGill and University of Waterloo are the UGC’s only two Canadian members.
University Global Compact Partnerships
Inspired by the Declaration on University Global Engagement, and with the support of the Rockefeller Foundation, the University Global Compact is to form a global platform of universities and other higher education organizations committed to working in partnership with the United Nations, SDSN, and other relevant organizations.
