SUNY Oswego in Honduras: Helping “Life Below Water”

Join faculty and administrators from the State University of New York at Oswego (USA) to discuss their latest student research project in Roatan, Honduras. The Honduras Marine Wildlife Ecology program is now in its 15th year and a member of the Innovative Instruction Technology Grants (IITG) project awarded to the University at Buffalo (UB) for 2023-24. IITG is a competitive grants program open to SUNY faculty and staff across all disciplines and encourages development of innovations that meet the Power of SUNY’s transformative vision.
The overall project, the SUNY Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Project Challenge, involves students working on projects in the developing world on sustainable development research of value to local communities and contributing to global sustainability.
The Oswego project in Honduras focuses on marine habitat and coral reef research and restoration.
