Sustainability Week 2026
Event Description:
Sustainability Week 2026 at Christ University is a week-long initiative designed to foster awareness, dialogue, and action towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) SDG 5 Hub Chair for the 2025–2027 cohort, Christ University reaffirms its commitment to advancing gender equality through education, research, and community engagement. Anchored in the theme “Athena’s Arc,” the event symbolically represents wisdom, leadership, and collective responsibility—values that strongly resonate with the mandate of SDG 5 (Gender Equality). The programme will feature panel discussions, leadership forums, workshops, exhibitions, student-led activities, and community engagement initiatives, with a special focus on gender equality, sustainable communities, and inclusive development. Through coordinated activities across its six campuses, the initiative is expected to directly and indirectly engage over 40,000 students of Christ University. The week-long programme aims to cultivate sustainability leadership, interdisciplinary collaboration, and active citizenship across the university community.
