Beyond Silos: Transdisciplinary Solutions for Hunger and Health

Event Description:
We will be highlighting the interdependence between SDGs, zero hunger (SDG2), and good health (SDG3), to demonstrate the role of transdisciplinary approaches in addressing the SDG challenges using examples and experiences from researchers who are applying transdisciplinary approaches in their work. A panel discussion consisting of both experienced researchers and young researchers will reflect on the tools that are available to practice transdisciplinarity and break disciplinary silos. The week will commence with an awareness campaign led by University of Pretoria students. Students, staff, and community members will reflect on the limits of single-discipline solutions, culminating in a panel discussion to contextualise future
approaches beyond silos.
