Inner Development Goals
March 7, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
FreeWhat Inner Shifts or human growth needs to happen in order for us to reach the SDGs collectively?
The Inner Development Goals is a framework launched in 2022 to support the achievement of the 17 SDGs.
The starting point for the IDG initiative was the reflection that the SDGs provide goals and a vision of what needs to happen, but progress along this vision has so far been disappointing because we lack the inner capacity to deal with our increasingly complex environment and challenges.
“The success of an intervention depends on the interior condition of the intervener.” Bill O´Brien
The IDGs framework maps which abilities, qualities or skills we need to foster among individuals, groups, and organizations that play crucial roles in working to fulfill the SDG. It involves a range of cognitive and emotional skills.
The 5 Categories with the 23 skills and qualities:
– Being – Relationship to Self
– Thinking: Cognitive skills
– Relating: Caring for others
– Collaborating: Social Skills
– Acting: Driving Change
